Jewish American intellectual Noam Chomsky has called Americans to oppose Israel’s Zionist regime’s treatment of Palestinians. He also said that Israel should not be recognized as a “Jewish state.”
Strong statement that Chomsky in his lecture delivered at Boston University in the framework of “Apatheid Israel Week”, an anti-Israel campaign is organized every year by a number of universities around the world.
“So far, the power of Israel more sophisticated apparatus and effective in influencing the living conditions in Palestine,” said Chomsky, now 82 years old. Author and professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Tehcnology it says, that the apartheid system that Israel applied in some cases not as bad as the apartheid system that once applied to South African countries, but in some other cases, worse than what happened in South Africa.
“Dozens of Israeli-puuh killing and kidnapping of civilians in Lebanon … bring them to Israel, went to jail and make them as prisoners … but the two Israeli soldiers captured in border into Israel to justify an invasion,” said Chomsky refers to the Lebanese Israeli aggression which triggered 33-day war with Hezbollah in 2006.

In his speech, Chomsky criticized U.S. foreign policy that gave blind support to Israel. According to him, the U.S. should also use its influence in the world use to stifle the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. “This world is like the mafia works. There is a ruler (U.S.) and when the authorities say ‘do not do this or that’, you obey. This should be criticized,” Chomsky said that the keynote speaker in the “Israeli Apartheid Week” at Boston University .
On the Israeli site, Ynet, Chomsky says, the U.S. and Israel must end the extreme resistance of the Palestinians and participated in an international consensus on the two-state solution. “Please note, that I stress is the ‘U.S. and Israel’ because in reality, they are hand in hand.
