Hundreds of Afghans in the capital, Kabul conduct demonstrations to protest the actions of U.S. soldiers arrested the mosque imam and a teacher of religion and the abuse of the Koran at a mosque.
The protesters demanded the immediate release of detainees who incidentally is a priest and religious teacher, and demand a trial against the American soldiers who did this.
In these demonstrations was noted that the Afghan police force do warning shots to prevent the action of anarchist demonstrators.
And at the same time, Marc Sidwell one civilian envoy army North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Afghanistan has denied there has been abuse of the sanctity of the mosque or the desecration of the Koran by U.S. troops who are members of NATO.
Sidwell said the case had nothing to do with their soldiers, including officers of the Alliance of foreign troops. And stressed that NATO forces do not enter the mosque and perform one of desecration against the Koran, because he thought NATO had great respect Muslim holy places and the Qur’an.
He stated that he has participated in many investigations of similar cases in the past, but have not confirmed the validity of this event.
He claimed the purpose of international troop presence in Afghanistan is to protect the people of Afghanistan. (FQ / imo)
